The Prophet from Poland Who Tried to Build a New World in the Woods

The woods of eastern Poland hide the ruins of an unfinished temple that was meant to become the new centre of the world. All that remains are brick foundations, now engraved with the symbols of the major monotheistic religions.

I founded "Lack of Coverage" to report on stories that are often overlooked by mainstream media, with a particular interest in writing human-driven pieces related to religion. I’m also telling one incredible life story from every country (that you probably haven’t heard before) over on social media! Across Instagram and TikTok, I've amassed more than 4,000 followers and average 280,000 views / month. Additionally, I have a podcast and am on a mission to interview a journalist from every country. Episode 4 with Helene Aecherli (Switzerland) is now live on YouTube. I hold a BA in International Studies and an MA in International Relations, both from Leiden University. Together, they have given me a strong foundation for relating individual stories to the wider cultural and political contexts in which they exist.
